As the economy continues to tighten, the availability of funds for products and services will also decrease. However, with the right frameworks, knowledge, and a thorough understanding of the psychology behind “how to get clients,” there is no need to worry.
During a recession, money doesn’t disappear; it simply isn’t spent as frivolously. Therefore, we need to do more to thrive in this challenging environment.

For example, in the weight loss market, individuals desire to be rescued from being overweight and pushed towards being fit and attractive.
When people are “in the market” for something, it means they have a significant problem they want to be rescued from. Additionally, they have desires they wish to fulfill. These desires stem from a “core desire” that encapsulates all their aspirations.
In any market, there is a core void, a core emotion, and a core desire. Understanding these aspects is crucial in crafting effective solutions that match their desires and lead to conversions.
II. Feelings, Emotions & Desires:
Understanding your market on a deep level is crucial. Income, zip code, job, age, and gender alone don’t provide insights into their feelings, emotions, and desires.
Humans are driven by emotions, not just products or services. Whether it’s an iPhone, a therapy session, or bathroom fittings, people are motivated by strong emotions and feelings that influence their purchasing decisions. Therefore, your product or service must tap into their core emotion and promise a benefit that aligns with their core desires.
To successfully acquire customers and clients, you must fully comprehend your market’s problems and connect with them on an empathetic level. People want to feel heard and understood. By acknowledging their deepest pains and problems, you build trust and gain their attention.
III. Offer Packaging & Solutions:
Your offer and solution should be packaged in a way that helps customers transition from their pain and problems to their core benefit, ultimately achieving the desired results. Avoid competing on price and instead differentiate your service by addressing a specific problem, offering a unique method, and guaranteeing results.
Solving a sophisticated problem using a distinctive approach that is unavailable elsewhere makes your service valuable. By thoroughly understanding your market, doing more than your competitors, and delivering results, you can charge more based on the value you provide.
IV. Copywriting & Advertising:
In a world where attention is scarce, capturing your market’s attention is vital. Empathy is the secret to hacking attention. By understanding your market’s feelings, emotions, and desires, you can craft copy and advertisements that resonate deeply with them.
People care about their problems and goals, so your messaging should acknowledge their pain points and empathize with their struggles. Establish trust by demonstrating that you genuinely care about solving their problems. Building trust-based relationships is essential for successful sales and conversions.
V. Funnels & Media Buying:
Funnels and media buying play a crucial role in generating revenue. As the economy tightens, trust, authority, and leadership become critical factors in acquiring clients. Establish your authority by showcasing informative content, case studies, and your unique process on your website. Spread your message across various platforms to create awareness and trust.
Being omnipresent across platforms allows you to build trust-based relationships with your target audience. Ultimately, people buy from those they trust. By demonstrating leadership and authority, you can establish credibility and make it easier to close deals.
